Who is Rescue Tails Creative for?
We design digital templates and resources for animal rescues, shelters, foster networks, and nonprofit animal welfare organizations. If you're doing this work, our products are made for you.

Are you affiliated with Canva?
No. We're an independent business that creates templates using Canva as the design platform. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by Canva.

What kind of templates do you offer?
We currently offer Canva template packs across four categories: Adoption Promotion, Fundraising, Foster & Volunteer Recruitment, and Event Promotion. You can browse all of them under All Templates.

Products & What You Get

What exactly am I buying?
Our products are digital Canva template packs - editable design files you can customize for your organization. You're not purchasing a physical product; nothing is shipped to you. Each listing shows exactly how many templates are included in that pack.

Do I need a Canva account to use these templates?
Yes. A free Canva account is all you need - our templates work fully on Canva's free plan, no Canva Pro subscription required. If you don't already have an account, you can sign up for free at canva.com.

How do I receive my template after purchase?
After checkout, you'll get an instant digital download - a PDF containing the link to your Canva template(s). Open the PDF, click the link, and it creates your own editable copy inside your Canva account.

How long do I have access to my templates?
You get lifetime access. Once you have the Canva link, the template is yours to reuse for your organization going forward.

Can I use the templates for print as well as social media?
Yes. Templates are designed for both digital and print use - social media, email, adoption events, kennels, adoption packets, and community boards.

Can I edit the templates to match my organization's branding?
Absolutely - that's exactly what they're designed for. You can customize pet photos, text and details, colors and branding, fonts, and logo placement, all with no design experience needed.

 

Purchasing & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal, all processed securely through Shopify Payments.

What currency are your prices in?
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). If you're shopping from outside Canada, your checkout page may show a converted estimate in your local currency, but your card will be charged in CAD.

Do you ship internationally?
There's nothing to ship! Our products are digital downloads, so anyone with an internet connection and a Canva account can purchase and use them, regardless of location.

Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are handled directly by Shopify Payments — we never see or store your full card details.

Can I purchase on behalf of my organization rather than personally?
Yes. If you're purchasing on behalf of an organization, by completing checkout you're confirming you have the authority to do so on their behalf.

 

Refunds & Order Issues

Can I get a refund if I change my mind, or bought the wrong template?
No. All sales are final due to the instant, digital nature of our products - we're unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or swaps once a template has been purchased and downloaded. Please review each product listing carefully (photos, description, and "What's Included") before buying. See our full Refund Policy for details.

What if I never received my download, or the link doesn't work?
This is the one thing we're always happy to help with directly - genuine delivery or access issues aren't covered by our no-refund policy. Reach out through our Contact page with your order number and we'll sort it out.

 

Using Your Templates (Licensing)

Can I share my template link with another organization?
No. Each user or organization needs to purchase their own license. Sharing your Canva link with others isn't permitted under our Template Terms of Use.

Can I resell the templates or include them in a bundle I'm selling?
No. Reselling, redistributing, or including our templates in bundles, marketplaces, or subscription services is not allowed without written permission from us.

I'm a freelancer or designer - can I use your templates for a client?
Yes, with a condition: you may customize a purchased template for a single client organization in the animal welfare sector. The template can't be shared, resold, or reused for additional clients - each new client requires a separate purchase.

Can I use these templates for a business unrelated to animal welfare?
No. Our templates are licensed specifically for animal rescue and animal welfare organizations and related communications.

Do I own the template design after I purchase it?
No -you're purchasing a license to use the design, not the design itself. Ownership of all template designs remains with Rescue Tails Creative. Your purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the template for the permitted purposes.

Can I claim I designed the template myself?
No. You may not claim authorship or ownership of the original template designs.

Do I need a paid Canva account (Canva Pro) to use your templates?
No - every template is built to work fully with a free Canva account. No Canva Pro subscription is required.
